This is a fast and highly enjoyable EFL flashcard game.
Materials: balls, plastic waste paper basket(s)/bin(s) and an A4 ring binder.
Separate the students into teams. Show the first student a flashcard and if the student says the correct vocabulary or target structure they can then play the game for points.
The ring binder. acts as the bat (it is advisable to ensure that the ring binder is not heavy, especially if the children are quite young). The teacher throws the balls in succession,(normally two or three), and the students, in their teams, bat the ball into the baskets which are held up by their team mates. Like the basketball game, the utility of varying sized baskets) enhances excitement and challenge.
